AWGA calls for industry dialogue and peace.

Today, Chairman of AWGA, Chick Olsson, has asked for other wool industry leaders to sit down together and work out a strategy for solving animal rights and marketing issues once and for all.

“For too long there has been disunity and division where there should be honest cohesion in our industry”.

” For many years, personal politics and ambition has overtaken responsible stewardship and well being of our industry. Many are distressed with the ongoing legal action, and the non attempt to negotiate a further settlement with retailers and Peta”.

AWGA will fly or drive anywhere immediately to undertake any discussions on these vital industry matters”.

”We respectfully invite other industry bodies such as AWI and WoolProducers to come to the table to get our industry back on track, and start working together at last” states Chick Olsson.

AWGA believes now more than ever that real cohesion and industry unity is vital for our survival.

“It is never too late to start our own peace process’, says Olsson.

Maybe it is time to let the past go, and get on with solving the real threat of our house being divided.

”I personally invite The Chairs or elected reps of AWI, WoolProducers, National Farmers Federation, and other state farming bodies to urgently meet and at least try to come up with some new solutions to our industry problems” says Mr Olsson
